A big city is a big city.. No matter where it is..
That’s what I just realized in this memorial weekend.
I spend whole this weekend at New York City.

To me, New York City is just like Tokyo.
I don’t understand why so many Japanese are amazed by the city, come to visit there, and prefer to live there.
According to Asian American Federation, there are about 26,000 Japanese is living there. ( 61% of them are in Manhattan, 23% are in Queens)
Here is the list I found the similarity between these two cities.

Of course, a lot of people ( I mean, ridiculously )

So many Starbucks Coffee

Shopping shopping..

Smelly..

Strange people

Rats

BUT, don’t get me wrong! I like Tokyo better than NYC.

In tokyo, every thing is spreading. I mean more like London.

Cleaner.

People are more moderate. They are dry too, but still follow the some kind of social rules.

Better transportation system.

Even Cab drivers are super polite. I hate New York Cab.

I think I should have give some info about Tokyo before I compare these two cities.

I will.

Anyway, The place I’m living right now is best for me.
Philadelphia suburb is GREAT!!

Yeah, I know, I’ve been thinking that I should write something about Japan or Tokyo.
Maybe because it’s very curious for you..
But please wait one more post. I’ll tell you some kind of tokyoish thing soon.

Anyhow, my daily life has been changing. I mean, I believe that “I’m” changing it.
Well, I quiet driving my car, recently.
Probably, if you are American, especially who live in suburb, you cannot even imagine the life without a car. I know how it is convenient, and I hated that I didn’t have a car when I came this country.
But I quite!! And switched to using SEPTA.
So far, it really great. Their service is not great as much as Japanese transporting services, though.
But to be honest, I have to walk twenty minutes to go to a nearest WaWa just for buying cigarettes..
That’s so annoying.
When I live in Tokyo, I can go to six different convenience store within nineteen minutes.

Yet by now, I find a several positive points of SEPTA commuting.

I can save some money.

Can sleep on the bus

Walking more = good exercise

Can have more time to read a book

No stress against traffic

STOP GLOBAL WARMING

I know my decision would not stop global warming. But at least I’m reducing green gas little bit.
Then the accumulation of “little bit” is the only thing to stop the global warming..

Sake, the subject went different way.. But I’m tried to put it back..
Anyway, my daily life should be better by this decision. Hope!
I promise. Next time I’ll talk about Tokyoish.

I’m back!

Maybe I’ve been busy, I guess.. so I was super lazy to post a blog.
News is I bought a new skateboard, because I thought Spring has come… forget about my age. I know I’m too old to play with skateboard. But the fact is I’ve been really enjoyed it, although my right knee is full of scratch..
So far I’m trying to remember how to ollie. FUN!!

Anyway I found a coolest Web site ever!

Check out wdcr.org!
Seems like this is a college radio station’s web site. They start podcasting their program.
Although the contents look under contraction yet, this is gonna be awesome.

Okay.. it’s a sort of joke. I set up this web site for them as a part of my job.
The “coolest web site” is not joke. This is really cool project, so I’ve been willing to work on this.
I don’t know other college radio station do this kind of web casting, but I really hope this web site is gonna take someone’s attention not only inside the colleg, but also out side campus.

So these days, I’m really enjoyed my work. Sounds strange? Yeah, I know..
I mean, sometimes it’s really easy to forget or lose some sort of “enthusiasm” for work.
Maybe because I’m taking it for granted?
Anyway, but I remember the point I like this job this week by working for the radio station.
Because they seem very happy about it. So I’m happy about what I’m doing!
This is how things should work. Right?

Anyhow, take a look wdcr and enjoy it!

As I mentioned last time, I’ll talk about my life. Not about “Tech”. Do worry, I won’t tell you how my life has been going since I was born, or how my life is stupid..
I mean, let me just talk about nothing.

Well, I’m not big fun of TV. I really hate Japanese TV show. These are just junk. Too much comedy and full of classic love stories.
American TV show is also _____ .

24 like suspense

ER kind medical drama

Reality show

Law & Order or CSI - somehow there are so many different kind. Why?

Sports, sports, sports…

I’m not complaining. Rather I like these garbages. I watch 24, Prison Break, House, and Lost. I loved “The Wires” most. But these days, I really enjoy “American Idol“. Yeah, I know, junk of junk.. I don’t really care who won or is going to win. I just care about Randy Jackson.

All I know about him is he is famous music producer. He should be. Then the reason I care about him is the way he talks is hilarious. His vocabulary is maybe only 100. I list some of them.

After I published my first blog. I realized that there are some serious problems… I mean, people doesn’t know about Web as much as I expected. Actually, this was very good lesson for me or should be for any other Web developers, too. We are really thinking or believing that all we know is standard and everyone knows. But it’s not even true. Most of people apparently are not familiar with some new web tech because they might open computer only for checking their E-mail, just surf their bookmarks, for work, for doing myspace, etc.. Personally, I usually don’t even touch my computer after work because I have a lot of other things I want to do. Also I don’t strongly believe Web is mighty.
But there are a lot of things you should know. And I guarantee they will make not only your Web experience much easier, more secure, and more interesting, but also your life easier.

As a first lesson I want explain and suggest a few things about web browser.
For many people, still, web browser = “Internet Explore”. To open a web page, they may think they have to click IE icon. However, it is not even true. These days, Firefox is becoming very popular web browser. “Why?” “Why do I have to switch to different browser?” “I have a lot of bookmarks on my IE.” “I only know how to use IE, and I don’t want learn a new thing.” “I don’t want pay for it.” …..
There are a bunch of reason I recommend you to switch your browser to Firefox. But Two things!

It’s free!!

More secure!!

IE has a lot of security problem, and potentially you can get virus or any other annoying staff. Compare to that Firefox have better security protection. Also switching from IE to Firefox is much easier you might expect. You should download it right away by clicking link on my web site ( find on right-side of bottom) . Once you download, go to “File” on your tool bar, click “Import”, choose “IE”.
That’s it!!
Most of Function is almost same. Don’t worry, and be patient. You’ll get used to it within 2days.

Okay, I wrote too much. I’ll write some more soon..
So, for now, Bookmark this site and come back frequently.
